"My hope with my art is that I can remind people of the amazing love that God has for each of us where ever we are in life, what ever culture or race. I can only speak for myself when I talk about experiences of faith but from the few mystical experiences I've had I know without a doubt that God's love us beyond anything we can imagine in this world. The overwhelming love I've felt, a few times I can only describe as a motherly love and even that is not quite enough. I have to quickly add that I'm not a holy man, I have my flaws but I believe God looks at us sometimes like little children, barely learning how to love each other, Children just starting out in this world. I believe in a God who is trying to open us up the to the grandeur of what is out there. I also think there's a reason we don't live in a perfect world. If it were always perfect we wouldn't learn to care and worry about each other because of problems, mostly caused by ourselves. I hope my art will help inspire people to believe in the things larger and greater than themselves. this is what I hope I can do with my art for a long time." -Gregorio G. Baca |
Many of Gregorio's paintings have hidden images in them.
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining.
I believe in love even
when I don't feel it.
I believe in God even when He is silent.
The words to this song were inspired by an inscription found in a tunnel in Cologne, Germany after World War II.
