Stephen Barnes is a photographer who has lived in Albuquerque for 19 years. He began taking photographs at an early age, starting with a small Canon Disc camera. His photography interests include exploring the beauty of form, shape, and light in addition to capturing the mood and feel in a scene. Primarily he works in black and white using Canon 35mm SLRs.

Stephen works entirely in 35mm film.  All of the processing of the black and white prints is done entirely by hand.  The negatives are processed and prints made using traditional silver-halide darkroom processing.  The black and whites are not digitally manipulated.

The color prints are also made from color film negatives.  The prints are made by a professional print shop and are not digitally manipulated other than to do color, levels, and sharpness correction.
